The band is happy to announce the press release of their 4 th cd 2008,
called "Carnaval in Buenos Aires" with music from Rio de la Plata. More info on request.
Quinteto Tango Extremo is composed of a violin, piano, contrabass, soprano saxophone and accordion.
The band has an original approach of programming a variety of music, with arrangements of Astor Piazzolla’s compositions, like Verano Porteño, Libertango, Otoño Porteño.
They also offer unique and daring own compositions. Composers like Dimitri Schostakovitch, David Chesky, Richard Galliano Francesco Venerucci, Coco Nelegatti, Onno Krijn and Renard A. Aust form a mix of Argentine tango, Brazilian Chorinhos, French musette, contemporary jazz, etc.
In short, influences blow in from all parts of the world…
The combination of these musicians, their backgrounds and their instruments leads to a very personal, unique sound ! Really moving contemporary (Tango) music, very well suited for concerts and international festivals.
This band with a respectable international concert list is Quinteto Tango Extremo, very well apreciated because of there original repertoire and combination of multi style talents of the musicians. They mix musical styles as Argentine tango Brasilian music and new jazz. Italy, France, Spain , Engeland, Turkye, Mexico, China, S. Korea, Koerdistan and many others ... Always with performed with gentle humor. The basic flavor is Argentin tango.
All the artists in the band are performers, teachers and coordinators at conservatory and music high schools.
